Imerovigli is a traditional village and lies 2km north of Fira Town. It is situated on a higher cliff  the highest village on the Island's inside Caldera wall. Here are some of the most luxurious and traditional accommodation on the island. The panoramic view is spectacular. Magnificent sunsets are admired while sitting on the terrace of your elegant accommodation. In front of the village is located an enormous rock called Skaros.

Until 1800, Skaros had a castle on it where all the administrative offices of the island were resided there.
The village was almost totally destroyed in the earthquake of 1956, and the cliff-edge houses were abandoned
but a tourist trade started up again in the 1970s. Today, is a beautiful and quiet village
and also one of the most expensive areas in Greece for accommodation!
