Oia - situated at the most northern part of the island, is 10km from the Capital, Fira Town.
Oia is a beautiful, exquisite small town with panoramic views to the Volcano and overlooking the Caldera.

Oia is ideal for peaceful and romantic vacations, as it's both an extremely picturesque and an
artistic village. Here you can enjoy a magnificent golden sunset, one of the most famous in the world! The most popular spot to watch sunset is by the Kastro walls.

The village was also, devastated by the 1956 earthquake and has never completely recovered, but it is dramatic, striking and quieter than tourist-frenzied Fira, although it's narrow passageways are also filled with art galleries, craft shops, expensive jewellery boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The town hosts a cultural centre, and many cave houses and traditional homes have been converted into luxury boutique hotels.
